I was born to a tricycle driver and a primary school teacher in a suburb town of Gumaca, Quezon here in the Philippines. My family is an ordinary family. There are a few familiar facts that I recall when I was still very young: I wasn't born with riches; I wasn't born to an influential family; I wasn't born in a city. Way back then when I was growing up, everyday was a tough time. My father and I would sell bread in villages. We only get enough and more often than not, enough isn't really enough.
